Who doesn’t love chocolate bark? No one. Everyone loves it. It’s delicious, adorable and super easy. Just melt some chocolate and throw some good stuff on top. We made this chocolate bark a thousand and a half years ago. For some reason, the pictures just sat on the computer. Never to be heard from again. HOWEVER, we found them and are ready to share them with you!

The first kind we made is peanut butter chocolate bark. All you need to do is take your desired chocolate (we used semi-sweet) and melt it. For this we used the double boiler technique. Fill a large pot with about an inch of water. Then, put your chocolate in a separate, slightly smaller, bowl and place it on top of the bowl with the water. The bowl should sit inside the pot, but should not touch the water below. Then just put the stove on medium heat and let the chocolate melt! This method keeps the chocolate shiny and smooth. After the chocolate is melted, spread it out on a baking sheet and toss in some melted peanut butter and peanut butter cups. Put it in the fridge to set up and then eat it all!

The next kind we made is Samoa chocolate bark. If you are familiar with girl scout cookies, then you are familiar with Samoas. They are the best of the best when it comes to cookies. Chocolate, caramel and coconut are all mixed together to make your favorite snack food. So we wanted to recreate this cookie in bark form. We used the same process as before and melted some semi sweet chocolate, and on top we put toasted coconut, caramel, and chocolate chips. It did not disappoint. If you want to toast some coconut simply put a layer of coconut on a baking sheet and place in the oven for a minute or so. Just keep your eye on it, because it toasts very quickly. We used a convection oven and simply set it to “toast”. If you want to toast it in the oven, you could probably toast it at any heat, just make sure to watch it and prepare for your house to smell better than it ever has before!

Thirdly, we made a different kind of peanut butter chocolate bark. Instead of chocolate chips, we melted peanut butter chips and topped with chocolate chips!

These are only 3 of the endless amount of varieties you could make. You could probably throw anything on some chocolate and it would taste good…We hope you make some chocolate bark of your own and then eat it all by yourself! Because life is short and you deserve it.
