Happy 4th of July to all you Americans out there!! I thought I’d join in on the fun and bake a cake dedicated to this important day!:)
The recipe I used is from Rosanna Pansino’s Nerdy Nummies Cookbook! The recipe is amazing and makes super sturdy moist cakes!
So, to make the tie dye cake I used a white cake mix which usually would make 2 big 8inch round cakes or 24 cupcakes (Rosanna’s recipe is one of the best ones to use) I divided the batter into three separate bowls and dyed them white, red and blue of course!
Recently I had purchased the Wilton Easy Layer Tins, which came in a pack of 5, they are quite small and usually used for making rainbow cakes! I got mine on sale in a local craftstore for about 5 euro but they are in amazon also link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Wilton-Round-Layer-Mould-Layers/dp/B00M4JCHRE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1467664597&sr=8-1&keywords=wilton+easy+layer+cake+pan+set
So i used 4 of those tins to make the tie dye cake and I must say it was memorising when I cut into it to see the wonderful colours created.
I hope everyone had a great 4th of July especially all you who celebrate it!
